Like many of his generation on the folk scene Tom Lane has done a bit of everything in his time. He believes that no man has set out more chairs ahead of events than he. For many years he organised a folk club (Grantham), runs an annual mini-festival (Day of Lincolnshire Folk Music Dance and Song at Leadenham, - this year on August 5th), is a ceilidh band caller with Higgledy Piggledy Band, and continues to promote Lincolnshire folk music on local radio, including being the man behind ‘Song for Lincolnshire’. An Epworth Music Day veteran having performed at every event thus far, this year he returns with his guitar performing his own songs which touch on many aspects of his beloved Lincolnshire, its people and its land.
