The Sons of Rodger are a Sheffield-based duo performing a mix of rock/roots/acoustic music.

Ian White (percussion) and
Nigel Parsons (vocals,guitars, harmonica, kazoo).

Ian and Nigel previously played together for many years in the popular classic rock band ‘Rodger’ as well as various ventures with other notable artists from the Sheffield music scene. They’ve appeared on national and local BBC playlists and radio sessions.

The duo create and perform original material, together with a mix of well-known classic songs. Band member Nigel Parsons has opened for some of the leading players in the folk and acoustic world; Boo Hewerdine, Chris Wood, Bill Caddick, O'Hooley & Tidow, Dave Burland, Ranagri, Reg Mueross ... He currently has a solo album 'Sinistralman' on release:

Band member Ian White – well, he just plays drums – although: “…highly commended as an outstanding individual musician...” Melody Maker April’21, 1973.

Ian has performed with many respected musicians and bands including Frank White and a Mr Joe Cocker………..
