Epworth Music Day
Duo Piccolo e Grande
Lincoln and Nottingham-based Duo Piccolo e Grande was created about four years ago to explore non-mainstream music from the baroque period. Their featured instrument is the mandolino, a precise replica of the ivory and ebony 1752 original in the V&A museum. An antique hurdy-gurdy adds to an already interesting programme and all the music is accompanied by the theorbo.
Individually, Enzo Puzzovio and Stewart McCoy have performed professionally since 1984, both as soloists and in a variety of ensembles. Stewart frequently teaches on early music courses and has contributed articles to Early Music and The Lute, and has edited music for various publishers. Enzo has performed and recorded from the UK to the USA, from Albania to Australia.
