The Wesley Worship Band was formed over 10 years ago by people of all ages, with an interest in music, who all worship at the Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in Epworth.

Traditionally organs are associated as the main source of musical accompaniment in church services, but over the last fifty years many modern worship songs have been written to appeal to a more contemporary congregation.  Many of these would sound out of place played on an organ and so a band was formed.

Some of the musicians have changed over the years but there is still a nucleus of the original members still playing.

We play at the service on the fourth Sunday of the month where all the music is of a contemporary nature and on any other occasion when asked.  We are playing at our first wedding this summer!  Our repertoire includes songs written by many modern writers including Graham Kendrick, Stuart Townend, Hillsong, Matt Redman and Casting Crowns.
