Since our inception in 2015, Doncaster Ukulele Group has grown to almost 100 members, performed at countless festivals/shows and came in second place in the Ukulele Society of Great Britain’s 2019 ‘Ukulele Band of the Year’ contest.

 

We’ve jammed with one of our ukulele idols, George Hinchliffe (founder of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain!) and even the Hairy Bikers belted out some Status Quo with us too. We DON’T play any George Formby - sorry Formby fans - but you can expect a whole range of songs from the 60’s to the present day, all strummed and plucked along by a choir of ukes!

 

Like all musicians we’ve had to adapt to an online version of ourselves over the last couple of years but we look forward to showing some of the things we’ve been up to at this year’s Epworth Music Day!
