John Leggott College is an open access post 16 college that draws students from North Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. It is one of the oldest sixth form colleges in the country and is proud to offer a wide variety of courses led by specialist, experienced teachers, including A level and Btec Music.

 

The Jazz Rock Band was established just 2 years ago and is part of the music enrichment opportunities open to all students at JLC, whether they study music formally or not. The make-up of the band changes as the students come into and leave college, so it is an ever-changing line up of enthusiastic young musicians! 

 

They play a variety of instrumental numbers, from big band swing to modern funk, with a few pop tunes and Motown numbers in there too. They have been hit hard, as all musicians have, with the Covid events of the last 2 years, so are particularly happy to be back playing as a band and enjoying making music together. They hope that you enjoy the pieces that have chosen for the day!
